Dear citizens,

Yesterday I bought the nord rack 2 synth at my local retailer. Now I'm wondering how I can use the sounds in Cubase and record them.

I've connected my keyboard's midi out to the midi in of my sc, and the midi out of my sc to the midi in of the nord rack 2. If I push keys on my keyboard the nord rack is responding by a lightening trigger LED. so the midi signal reaches the nord rack, but I can't hear any sound.

Probably it has to do with Cubase, which is probably not well 'tuned'. Every advise is welcome!!!

Thx!

indeed.

if not sure, on your cubase channel, select the ALL channel :) that usually does the trick.

if still nothing, and the led still blinks, check that your Nord 2 can actually have sound coming out :) (volume, patch, audio connections ... )

if it's a 2nd hand machine, try to factory reset it ... sometimes the previous owner had some weird settings :)

Aight, thx for the tips. I have already tried all , but it still doesn't work. I think it's because I haven't made a line connection from my nord to my sc. All I've already connected are the midi cables, but they don't conduct audio, so the audio hasn't reached the sc...no??

"One must not wish first to understand and then to feel. Art does not tolerate Reason."

But than again ... :))

I have to admit that I once thought the same when using midi at first.

there must be a gazillion of 'how does my synth play in cubase?' threads all over the internet... welcome to the club! :P

btw: dump cubase, get ableton. will save you a lot of setup and settings shit.
