I could be interessting if evrey moderators create a profile to promote they own genres and promote ebel..of course

1; by creating a profile, something like "electrobel moderator/....genre" 2; adding the ebel player whit a selection of tracks from they own genre (like a playlist) 3; ....and more

I wanna know your opignion...so lets talk about it!!

shouldn't we better concentrate on electrobel itself in stead of myspace? Maybe zark could add a new moderator page or something? Also keep in mind there are multiple mods for 1 genre in some cases, this could get confusing if we have several profiles for the same genre..

Gnuh? I already got one myspace for my own organisation and one for my own as a person, and it's already annoying enough logging out and back in, mostly to approve for friend requests who try to spam your comment box with flyers/posters/new album out now crap.

And yeah, as meutn said, why jump to myspace? I know it's supposed to be 'in', but it's mostly 'in' ebcause people see it as a new way of promoting their work, which in most cases is just...spam. So meh.

the idea is not to promote myspace on ebel...is to use myspace to get more users/artists/hits

something like an Ebel invasion of myspace!!

there is alot of electronic artists on myspace , form be/nl/it/fr/uk, that dont know about ebel ...the idea (also a moderator i think)is not from me, a guy from ebel Italy already do it... he simply call it "electrobel.it

its just a idea...happy to see reaction so fast!!

thx

I have mentioned it in other threads, I seriously dislike myspace...

I dislike the idea that one can put only 4 tracks there, beyond 4 you have to pay... Paying money to put my music for free on the net, for people to download freely seems stupid..

Furthermore is myspace in the hands of Rupert Murdoch, the one that controls all the media in the US, he's basically an arrogant rich fuckhead who wants to buy everything that one day could make him money...well, not my money....

I know it's an easy way to promote yourself, but I don't and won't use it, because I would feel like a prostitute if I did, it's just against my principals...

My oppinion : myspace sucks ass big time...

I concur, I heavily dislike myspace, usually I can't even be bothered to put all my dates online. I's useful for artists because a club can go to the myspace and the song starts playing automatically.

Another thing I dislike about myspace is the free range of coding/layout it allows, which makes for a lot of dimwits to make personal pages taking 3 minutes to load and having 2 video's and 1 song start simultaneously.

And, like I said, as a concert organiser/promoter, it's really hell to use; Between the 'HEY WE ARE PUNK BAND FROM ZUTICH BOOK US, YES?' and the countless 'Visit our party' flyers taking up 2/3rd of your comment box if you allow them, there's hardly anything useful left to use it for, IMHO.

And on my personal page, I just get girlies spreading links to their payable webcam pages.

Seriously, it's just junk. The moment it has a useful 'report abuse/spam' function that actually DOES something it might prove to be legitimately useful again.

Oh, and yeah, Rupert buying it then adding the movie button and highlighting profiles of his newest movies, which then don't quicklink to a profile but to the movie page, doesn't help too much. That's a scam in itself, but useless to say, reporting it will be kind of hard.

You didn't hear? An American band was on myspace, unsigned/ not copyrighted, and they were really 'booming'. Suddenly their song was used in a car commercial. The band was heavily opposed, but in a court of law, Myspace won, for some reason. Don't know the details, but CC versus myspace....ngehehehehehe....
