Make remix an option instead of a genre

I just had a small thought here: remixes aren't really a genre, you can make a remix of any track in any genre. I think quite a lot of people skip the remix section because of this: they don't know what they'll get (could be gabba or nujazz)

What if when you upload a track you get a toggle box 'remix' and can still select a normal genre. If you toggle the box, your track would be visible under the remix section and the section of the genre you choose.

good idea...   and probably easy to implement, just add another zone next to general and ICZ

good idea but it would be less work if everyone wrote a decent description of his work...

Yes and no. A track can be a remix, techno and ICZ I suppose.

Is that to make them easier to sort later on? Because I don't read description until the song is actually playing, never before.

edit: what kornie said!

indeed, a good description is needed (for every track on ebel!) but that is not enough, because if you only want to hear the house- and techno-remixes now, you can't unless you check every description. note that you also can't filter the genres of remixes when you work with the ebel-playlist option. a solution would be to devide the remix section in the subgenres and/or to ad a remix subgenre to every main genre.  don't fear for your job reaman, you can still be remix-mod when this changes ;)

It's much cleaner to make it a toggle instead of making a subgenre in remix for every genre on ebel! half of those would be empty anyway
