Dunno if anyone can help me out with this one: I just produced a bassline with a kick and a ride, and when I run it in a loop, the ride gets "sliced off" sometimes.  Like as if it has a compressor or something attached to it, which is NOT the case (no fx have been used yet). Yet, when I render the loop to disc, there is no cutting of whatsoever.  Does anyone have an idea how this can be?  Does Ableton have an internal compressor or something for protection against clipping or something?  Because if that's the case, this really SUCKS :p Ableton 5.0.3 by the way

you should try the different warp-modes. some modes sometimes cut off certain frequencies. there is no built-in compressor> or whatsoever> in ableton  (maybe you were playing in the red?), come on msn and send me a recording of the problem, maybe i'll recognise it ;)
