Mixing Down
Help neededi just wonder if its possible to mix down your track almost perfect in reason? And is it like possible that i go to a studio with reason files or just wavs or any other media so they can mix it down a whole lot better compared to just reason and myself :P

No, Reason was not made for mixing down, it is only a composition tool. The best thing to do if you want to master a Reason song is to render each track (drums, bass, piano,..) separately to a wave file. The guys from the studio can then process each track separately and balance the levels afterwards.
Almost all music creation programs (well not ejay shit etc..) are 95% ok for mixing down as long as you know what you are doing. But not for mastering.
Dont forget, mix down and master are two different things!

what exactly is "mixing down" then?
Well, let's just say that when you have finalized a mixdown, you can put it on CD or on DAT, whatever, then bring it to the mastering studio, and have it mastered. Having it mastered meaning that the 2 channels (because of stereo obviously) are going to be mastered, so the different effect, be it compression , eq, whatever, will be applied on all the track. This can only be done by people with a LOT of experience and with super duper hardware or sometimes soft.
Mixing down is working with every track in the song (track, channels, but not the stereo ones, the one you work with in your music creation editor), and making sure they blend well together, etc, be it compression eq , limiting, whatever once again.
It's easier but still hard to mix down than to master. Still, the best is to make the mixdown and the master by profesionals, but $$$$$ :)
maybe somebody can recommend a book or website ? about mixing down, compressing and equalising in particular.
