Gameboy-sounds
Help neededI'm producing a new song, it's a remix of a famous nintendo-game. Now I would like to add a melody and therefore I need a synthesizer which is able to produce gameboy-style sounds (a tutorial for making them could also be nice).

There is a vsti which emulates the game boy sound bank, but I dont remember the name. Shouldnt be too hard to find though I think.
try raw square and sine waves, they always remind of the console chiptune sounds
try the quadrasid ... even if it's emulation of the SID chip from the c64 ...

yes you're right ... and for the 8 bit sounds , you've allready the NES of nintendo and a Game boy but that's only 4 bit :p... One mic and it's ready...

yup there's even a program to make music on a gameboy card but i can't remember its name.
yeah, just download a gameboy emulator such Visualboy advance and the nanoloop rom it is a gameboy music player... good luck
