A friend of mine wants to give a b-day party next year in march (24/03/2007). She wants producer snafu to come over but of course like u all know, he lives in California.

So we came up with a "plan" : we'll try to collect enough money for him to fly over to Belgium (he'll work too of course)

but we need your help with it. Rolling Eyes

donations would be most welcome of course

btw, a plane ticket would cost : (retour) around 900 $ - ... $

i can't put a price on it, coz it depends which flight he'll take (which company i mean), promotions, .... if you make areservation early (it's cheaper) or last-minute...

there are lots of options and choices and it's a lot of money, but it's worth the shot

I really like Eels, but i doubt they would just come over and play if i paid for a plain-ticket... (that would really make concerts cheap ;) ) ...and as if they would settle for a flight that just happens to be on promotion :P

instead of acting like ***** you'd better make this party by yourselves and try to contact organizations to share cost flights for another gig in another venue, LIKE EVERYONE DOES when they want to book an artist... and not asking people to pay for someone they dont even know. wtf!?

if my comment doesnt make sense to you i suggest to keep this thread on cccp and not asking people to pay for someone they dont know. try to organize a party and do it in a more serious way than its presentation here, because except for her friends wich i presume already know, i dont see the point of this if it is not to share cost of flights for another booking.

is electrobel a charity? contact the "make a wish" organisation, they might help lol

Get a real venue and an official organisation behind you then; You can get the transfer funds refunded (Provided it's worth it...not for a birthday party, a real event...but then again inviting such people for a birthday party is overkill).

I can explain you how to do it (Dutch only though) if you're up to it.
