hard techno will survive! thats for sure :D
honestly, i doubt that... on a certain point, i think people will get bored of the cliché distorted 4/4 beats and the never changing concept of sounds. remark that this year, there was no dj rush, no pet duo and no amok on i love techno, no schranz at all; i think they realised that it might be getting uninteresting to book schranz-dj's. also well-appreciated artists like marco bailey say that they have had enough of the schranz-scene, although a few years before, they applauded for an artist like dj rush (i don't even even hear dave clarke, a good friend of the guy, talking about him anymore, though it could also be me not hearing it). but when i listen to the tapes i have of dj rush on hosue torhout, and i listen to the recordings i have of dj rush last year, he only drove it further (the distorted beats, the 150bpm uptempo, the loopsequences), and i think that's why some people finds it not interesting anymore. in the beginning i also liked dj rush (as dj, i never like his own music) because there was still good melody in his music, it was more then just another heavy beatloop. but now, he's history to me, just like the whole schranz-scene. in my opinion, harder and faster is not always better. don't shoot me now, i just tell what i think about it ;)
rush brought it to the spotlights, others (kvitta etc) took it over when he stepped down some levels by re-re-re-re-inventing old things combined with new sounds etc... last two times I saw rush @ work it just wasnt 'right' anymore, while others succeed in creating a new vibe, doing better work at the moment.. still, there will always be hardtechno simply because a good schranz party > all (thats just my opinion ofcourse)
i think the true masters of schranz dj's & producers are waldhous-weichentechnik-amok-hardtrax-jackhamma :D & industrial -peaky pounder-daisy-promo-n-vitral enz... 4 feb. hangaar 1 oostende -peaky,promo,n-vitral & plenty schranz dj's- sandy warez b-day- the party of the year :D :D schranz & industrial core rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

should have left that out, doesnt make any sense (incorrect :p)
I'm a big fan of good hardtechno too!
I like DJ Minupren, Manone, Feli Krocher, Peaky Pounder and P Stylez
Hardtechno is manu kenton like simple beats rewinded percussion, in some way softer schranz sounds harder because of the reverb, it fills the space between the beatdrums that makes it more aggressive and "drukker". I prefer schranz above hardtechno a.k.a. hardtek. But that's my opinion again. But schranz has quite some difficulty of being creative because all the space between beats is allready filled up. That's why most schranz is just a series of heavy beats. then the break with movies quotes and whatso ever, crazy dark sounds a build up and then the beat again. Felix krocher's records are quite inspiring for me like . travel pussy for example. but schranz will always remain underground because only a select group of people can enjoy it, but for those who can enjoy it. They REALLY do ..... Like me occaisionaly.

Actually, this year rush played at i love techno, along with marco remus and sven wittekind. I personnaly don't like that almost every old techno dj is changing to a softer style...
