Background MP3 streaming

My suggestion would be adding some lowbitrate music in the background from random tracks that users have posted onto the site. This would allow people to hear the music whilst their logged in, and should they be interested in what they hear, they could visit the artist's profile via a 'now playing' banner. This could work well, in that most people in .be have ADSL/Cable nower days (and most people who visit this site I see come from .be), so at a low rate it shouldn't interfear too much with the speed of the site, and also, it would add some ambiance and work as an andertising tool for any up and coming artists out there. What do you think?

don't force this on people though, I just hate it when sites start playing tunes that collide with whatever I have playing myself in Winamp (and I almost always have tunes playing on my comp)

btw, a radiostation with a selection of various tunes would be a nice option though

Yes, it's probably the way it'll be ... And it would be an option. default_action=stop() ;) i also hate having website music on autoplay ... mainly because i got 400watts behind my pc and volume usually turned .. uppppppppp

ps: we was just talking to sysadmin (aka deleteme, aka 'netrax admin') about making it into a shoutcast stream ....
