Sabam vs Ebel
AdminI'm posting it here, because (I think) this section is invisible to non-mods (right?), and I'm always a bit paranoid about who's watching who, so whenever there's the word Sabam you always gotta be careful :)
Now on topic: because of the copyrighted-mix thingy in the other thread, I have a question (I guess particularly for ZARk): do you ever had to deal with Sabam concerning Ebel? Did they ever contact you or want to interfere in one way or another? Maybe warning about copyright, piracy, or so...? Cos if they did, it means they're watching us :) And then we gotta be careful when authorizing dj-mixes, etc.
Does Sabam actually know Ebel exists?

I just wrote down the same question in the other thread...
Trust me...they know ebel exists.
A friend of mine posted a link to a dj set, hosted on his own space... The ebel forum was the only forum he posted it on...And couple of days later, he received an e-mail from his ISP telling him to take down the mix because otherweise SABAM could press charges.
SABAM had contacted his ISP threatening with this & that...And asking to reveal his name etc...Luckely his ISP had some called a 'privacy policy', so they never gave names or anything...But if he hadn't taken it down...And there were official charges...Then they have to give up names & adresses etc...
And this was more then two years ago....
So....They know we're here ;) Arghgrmbl...

i just received the fucking bill from my party on 6/7,
the guy just walked in there before the party, threatened me with 'wilde dak et sluit jong eh eh' with some foul winks in my direction like that 8( to force me in filling out his form...luckily i expected far worse from the bill. but for a stupid tiny party like that they come and steal your money, the party had like 50-60 people tops so everything i earned is for them, not even one euro for my trouble thanx to those guys, it's really a sad world on such moments...

U can never be to shure, the FROM DUB TILL CORE party with Aaron spectre was also a small fish but SABAM didnt leave the organazation alone one bit.
it's freakin sad, somebody should bomb their HQ's, but i guess they've got 24h security considering how hated they must be...
i might have to copyright some of my stuff soon...
I think i will do it at the notary... i really dont feel like dealing with sabam
