Hi,i'm a novice dj and i would know what are the tools you use to make music specially the electro one!! Thanx to all who help me!!
well the best tool is the one YOU think is best for YOU. So you have to try different softwares. Get some demo's to start with.(FL Studio,Reason,Ableton Live...) FL Studio is known to be the easyest one to make something fast. But maybe another one will suit you better... And each genre is possible with each software, believe me. Good luck
and let the bash eachothers software contest begin!
"Fruityloops is the best... it rocks the rest!"
no actually everybody will have a different opinion. It's like asking wich is the best beer or wich is the best car... I'll tell you it's a ford escort because i have one, but this advice is not valuable at all.
edit: agree with skip about fruity, i've always used it, i think its fairly straightforward. but i'm not at all a good/experianced producer, i merely toy around with it.
a hammer, a wrench, some oil...
nah ;) if you really mean, making music you need a sequencer ( wich is the "main program" ) and then you need vst's to make sounds and arrange them in the sequencer look up on , ableton live , cubase , fruity loops , renoise .. those are all sequencers, for vst's you have native instruments they make a lot of vst's that a lot of people use, but offcourse there are enough other good ones, you'll see , plenty of stuff to make music with, make sure you don't get lost in them :)
Allthough I'm a fruitytrooper myself I'd say start with ableton live. it's way more straightforward than fruityloops.

janking my ballz here...
imo... yes maybe ableton is a good step-in sequencer.(comming from a die hard fl studio user) :p
an other bit of producer jargon:
vsti, Virtual Studio Technology instrument=== I stands for instrument like for instance, a synthesiser, these are ofcoarse virtual.
vst, without an "I" witch are used for virtual effects like, distotion or delay, ect...
DAW, not exactly sure, but i think it's a diffrent term for sequencer.
thepiratebay.com, your one stop shop as a producer! also look up http://audiopirate.blogspot.com/
there you go. we (the ebel peeps) hope you'll find your way around and start making some tunes.
cheers
