"Midi Signal has been lost" is a message that I get very often lately when I use my Korg EMX1 to control Ableton Live.
But:
The midi Cable is well connected.
My Korg and my Ableton are correctly configured (to my opinion)...
On the Korg I cut off all the midi data transfer... (XXXX) and the clock is set to INT.
The korg is linked by midi cable to my novation remote Zero SL, which is connected to my laptop via usb.
The settings in ableton live 6 are following.

Can anyone help me? I've got a bigger live-set coming ands things like these could ruin the whole thing!!!
Please!
Why don't you use the same clock for everything? It seems better to sync everything on the same source… Sometimes you can get interferences into your wires, are you sure that they are shielded? Are you sure that the wires are well pluged in, 'cause sometimes if they move a little, signal is lost? Hope you're gonna fix that soon, I can easily understand that this situation is quite unconfortable… Bye, n(^ù^)°
Thanks Neuro...
Indeed... I wanted to use the EMX Midi Clock to synchronize Ableton.
I'm sure the cables didnt move... first the fix pretty well and secondly I didnt touch anything... but it happens over and over again...
...
(I kill the first one who si will tell me.. that with a Mac this problem would not happen... I will buy a Mac when I have the money :) )
the fact that ableton says that the midi-signal has been lost, means that it normally expects data from your remoteSL, but doesn't get it maybe try what happens if you put the control surface to "none" instead of your remoteSL and take-over mode also to "none". i never use the control-interface- and take-over-mode, and i never get these messages. i always choose my midi-controlls manually. ow, and i see that you've synced the output of ableton to your your remoteSL, as well as the inputs. i think that could be the cause of some problems.
u also might wana check if your midi-controller gets enough power from the usb-port (i always have problems in protools with my Mbox when i use it on an usb-hub) i hope this helps
