new computer
Help neededCurrently I make music with a laptop, but he's not powerful enough to make all my ideas happen...so i'm planning to put a new computer together, but I don't know anything about hardware ( which soundcard etc...).so which set-up would you recommend? I will use this computer only for music applications.Grtz

I heard great things about apple, but issen't it more difficult to find programs that work on it?
all pro programs for video and audio makings are avaible ! also the lesser semi pro programs !

There are ways to make that work ... dunno how but nowdays you can almost run any pc soft on the dual core intel macs .. also by use of bootcamp or parralels..

[/quote] ^^ try building a pc yourself, that way you know what's in it... invest most in your soundcard (you want to make music, right?) invest in your harddrive (a SATA 10.000rpm runs better than an IDE 5400rpm) get a dualcore (programs like cubase will get more out of that)

Listen to the man, don't go cheap on your soundcard (be smarter than me: buy one good card instead of 3 semi-good cards in a row)
