Hello everyone,

We are a fairly young indie game studio based in Valenciennes (north of France). Our team is composed of 6 people and we are currently working on a platformer game. We don't have an exact release date at this day but it should be somewhere around late april, early may. This game will be released online on specialized platforms (steam, etc.).

We are looking for music to put a bit of life in our game. The game is about a small wooden robot who wakes up at the bottom of a strange tower made of roots, wood, metal and weird machines. This little guy will try to make his way to the top of the tower, explore this strange world and understand why he's alone in this tower which was obviously a busy place a long time ago. The avatar can throw seeds on some grounds and grow wooden beams to help him progress through the various levels.

We plan to make about 25 levels for a playtime of roughly 4 hours. We will have 3 different environment : - Base of the tower : underground mines looking zone with lots of roots. Quite dark - Center of the tower : lots of metal and machines; dangerous fire is burning everywhere - Top of the tower : Lighter structure made of metallic and wooden beams; cloudy sky in the background

What we are looking for is a selection of tracks fitting the 3 different environment. I'd say at least 9 or 12 so we have enough variations from 1 level to another, if we find more it would also be great. Some may be more rythmic to fit the levels where action and platform is prioritized, some may be more slow to fit the levels where reflexion pre-values. We don't think something with to much bleepy electronic sounds would fit but some noisy electronic sounds might be good. The avatar being a wooden robot we are looking for something between organic and electronic music, with a touch of industrial sound for some tracks to illustrate those big machines we will have. Any woody sounds might also be good; sorry for lack of precision but we are still debating in the team about what sort of music might fit the game !

Anyway we are quite open in term of music and if you think your sound might fit our game, please contact us here :) Right now we cannot assure you any form of remuneration coz we are still trying to figure out how to pay next rent ourselves, but if the game sells well (remember we are fully independent and only the selling platform will get a small bite of the selling price, no fucking editor to fuck up our games) be sure we won't forget you. What we can assure you if your score is played in the game is of course credits in the game and on any form of marketting we might make on the web to advertise our game.

Controls are ZQSD, Jump with Z or spacebar, walk with left shift, shoot green seed with left click (to grow a beam on fertile ground), shoot red seed with right click (to destroy a beam). If u have a XBOX 360 controller you can plug it in before launching the game and play with it (shoot with right and left upper trigger). If u have troubles with those controls (I'm looking at u left hander), you can reassign controls in the input tab before launch.

Level 1 and 2 are only gameplay test, level 3 is the one that should interest you the most, being the graphic test, this is the one closest to the final look and feel of the game. Remember this is still a prototype and tons of bugs are still present.

Thanks for your time,

Tong Uncanny Team

Hi,

Your deadlines look weird, you are asking for 10 tracks in one or two month ? I might be interested anyway.

Yup deadlines are quite short; was not very precise in the OP but what we are looking for is obviously tracks that are already produced. 1 or 2 months to achieve about 10 tracks seems impossible to me. Give the game demo a try and if u believe some of your tracks might fit it well, send me a message or respond directly on this post.

A few precisions if u didn't try the game : the avatar looks quite weak and fragile and he's supposed to be sort of alone in an abandoned world (hope it gives u more insight).

Hi guys,

Lots of things happened and deadlines completely changed but we finally managed to complete the game. The game is called OIO.

Music was made by analept who does have some track here on electrobel > http://be.electrobel.org/profile.ebel/691 Originally I only wanted simple tracks but since we had a bit of time analept did produce separate tracks for some of the levels in order to have some sort of dynamic progression related to your progression and where you are in the level.

Here's a link to the website where you can download a demo : www.oio-thegame.com (only level 1 got various tracks and triggers, level 2 and 3 are single tracks)

Tought I'd let you know :)

hf,

Tong
