Make a new midi track There you will see midi from and midi to
Let's say you wanna play a vst synth So load the vst synth in the midi track Then you choose "midi from" and you choose the midi keyboard you wanna use. If you press a key there should be a parameter with yellow cirkels See if they go up and down when you release your key If this is ok press the rec button and choose "auto" now you should hear a sound You can also do it with 'in" Hope you have something with this
thats it realy, no need to arm the track.
be sure to check your keyboard in the preferences, but you stated ableton recognizes it so that should be no problem...
sry guys, but where to find the "input channel chooser" , like they say in the manual. i really cant find it....
...or just read the manual? everything really is well described in there.
(and don't go "i don't have it", it comes as a pdf with the installation)
