So i sold my padKontrol, sold microKontrol. Sold the pad because I am not a drummer and used it only rarely. Sold the micro because I am really fed up with the minikeyboard and the lack  of aftertouch and the tedious programming... so I am eyeing to the new Axiom. Seems that it is a cheap very well build piece of midi-controller... I don´t use much of the different faders and pads and buttons, but i´d like to have them anyway. So it seems to be the best choice regarding the price. And it seems to have a really nice weighted keyboard.... what do you think. I do not want to hear about other controllers, just this one thnx.

Well I have the M-Audio Axiom 61. If you're looking for good aftertouch, good possibilities of assigning your controls, You gotta have it. You can even have 8 pads. Well anyway if you have them you use them in my case!

Nothing but good comments about the beautie!!!

I also have the axiom 61, works perfectly, nice tool only minor disadvantage are the pads in imo.. it takes some time to losen them up. But that's really no point in this being a great keyboard, you get what you pay

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the axiom has stepa in its rotarys... so if you turn the knobs, they'll go by little clicks. check this out.. go to a store and turn the knobs to see if you like it (I hate it.. don't understand why they made it like this)

I could be wrong though, not shure

i have the axiom25, and hell, this is the first controler i bought, but iam verry verry pleased with it: easy to set up, in mac at least, verry good weightened keys, and idd, little clicks with the knobs, wich imo is a + cause it gives u a detailed feel... tho that is personal perhaps nothin but good to say over here...

I had the Oxygen 49 before the Axiom 49. And I must admit I liked the normal knobs(oxygen) better than the encoders with clicks(axiom), especially if you want to control filters of a synth or to use it like bas/treble on a mixer. Those encoders with clicks are fine when you want scroll through settings or instruments, where you want to select a precise value. Or maybe it is a matter of getting used to it, otherwise I'll have to get myself another midicontroller, just to get smooth/fast turning knobs again with a fixed zero and max position.

Why did they do that btw? All the hardware I've used (pan/eq on mixer, level controllers on reverb machine,cut-off/resonance/envelope controllers on synth, etc) they all got smooth turning knobs and no encoders with clicks where you everytime have to guess where the zero, max and halfway position is...

i've also got the Axiom25. its my first midi keyboard but i think its great. i can see how the clicks on the rotaries can put some people off but i thnk it helps with precise settings n that its just a matter of getting used to them. check the increment/decrement settings on the rotaries, that might help that last problem about guessing the max and min positions. the pads n semi-weighted keys are also a big bonus.

euh yea i'm new to electrobel, don't think that means i can't share my opinion on a keyboard controller though. anyway everyone can see i dont have many posts n that i'm new here so i think they'll be clever enough to determine the value of my opinion themselves. but hey, thanks for warning those not vigilant enough to check themselves...
