your opinion on best reverb
Help neededhi chaps I would like your opinions on what in your experience is the best reverb vst? the most advanced reverb, with lots of parameters, options and cool features.
like for instance, the ohmicide distortion vst is on of those that sticks out in its genre, with lots of features,types of distortion and the ability to add distortion to different frequency bands. doesn't matter if its a multi effects plug-in or something, just your favourite.

THE best reverb I ever saw was/is (since I have it :))) the UAD dreamverb but that's only for uad users...
The best after that but who have even better specific advantages are Arts accoustic reverb and waves Trueverb. Wen it comes to freebies: Ambience. As for sparkly electro snare effect reverb: fruity reverb2!
i use SIR reverb 1, the freeware version. it's a convolution reverb so you need good impulses files. you can find them legally or illegally, and some are quite good.
trueverb and.. fl reverb1 GRMtools have cool effects too, u can kind off make something reverby out of it..

i used TL-space for my graduation project, and i really like it. it's used at my work, where they have a Lexicon 960, 480, pcm91,.... but they also have Altiverb, which uses the same method (impulse-response). i've heard that Altiverb would sound a little bit less digital, but the difference in soundquality is really minor. the cool thing about impulse-response, is that you can record your own reverbs. put a a good speaker and microphone in the room of which you like the reverb, record a freq-sweep and a gunshot, and TL-space/Altiverb will create a reverb-algorythm that is identical to the reverb of your room. all the presets are made in that way, so you'll find reverbs from the concerthall of amsterdam, to the reverb of a car, a toilet or even a jar of nutella (no kidding). whith each preset comes a variety of different recordings (in the middle of the room, on the side, at the back, recorded in AB-pair, XY-pair, MS,...), the mention of which mic was used, a graphic presentation, a photo of the room and a map of where the mics where placed in that room. and the presets aren't just "limited" to rooms/places, there are also presets that emulate the real big reverb-machines (like the Lexicon 960) a thelephonespeaker, old crappy radio, ... so if you want a natural sounding reverb with much room for experimenting, choose TL-space or Altiverb, cause their reverbs are real ones
SPACE designer ! from logic pro studio ! if you mean the soft ware reverbs ! for hardware the lexicons !
Glaceverb... freeware with a sound modulator. can really create some spacy sounds and can make drums sound very nice... (but for everyday reverb i use FL reverb 1 or 2)

i agree for the fl reverb, i dont know why but it always sounds like I want it to sound, i havnt tried much other ones tbh, have tried some freeones and the one from cubase, but Fl beats them all so im not bothering looking further ^^
tho i might try Altiverb, lebelgelectrod looks pretty sure about it :)
