TAKING BACK MONDAYS @ Kultuurkaffee 2008
General discussionCome and play at Taking Back Mondays 2008 at Kultuurkaffee, one of Clubcircuit's finest clubs in Brussels, situated on Dutch university VUB.
We received confirmation for these events throughout 2008, each first Monday of the month.
What do WE expect from you: Nothing specific. A live set, no straigth dj-sets of other people's work (if you ain't up for a live, we do consider dj-sets of own work). You don't even have to send your cd: Check the website at http://www.jemenfish.be/takingbackmondays
If you don't know enough Dutch but you absolutely want to play: Leave your information in this thread. We basically need as much info as possible, with a link to any mp3's or live shows.
What can you expect from us:
-A decent soundsystem: L-accoustics or Nexo Alpha top quality sound installation with 10.000W or more, experienced sound engineers thanks to Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie; a 16 or 24 channel PA table for any full live bands + an Ecler Nuo 5 mixing table for laptop acts; Extra material on demand.
-A fully equipped brand new lightshow based on LED par effects and moving lights (Martin SCX500 and Roboscans), stroboscope, smoke machine.

-FREE Entrance on each event
-When possible and our budget allows it, an international guest artist. For reference, 2007 hosted Legowelt (NL), Total Science (UK), Klute (UK), Traumabikini (FR), Monolith (B), ..., and 2008 will see us hosting Chris Su (Hungary) in March.

Starting up again in October with 3-4 editions. If you wanna play or have some suggestions, let me know.
I'm interested in living... tho I'm not sure if my dark drum&bass would fit the likes of Total Science & Chris SU... ;)
Doesn't matter, really, we try to make a more or less coherent line-up, no specific styles. Last year each evening was different
interested + with new live-set (played it 2 weeks ago in luik, and ppl seemed pretty enthousiast 'bout it :)))

As far as your music goes, send me ideas about a guest so that some people show up, not like last time at kk with about 60 people; Last TBM we had 160-180 and 280 respectively, that's more what I'm aiming at :) And preferably with a guest each time.
ya, me too interested. as for guests, i think people like Thomaz, Pierre, Deg,... would be in the same genre. Thomaz plays in Switch, so maybe that's easy for you to fix, with the Switch-contest goin on these days
I'm intresting in KK My 2nd album is almost ready to release... maybe a KK event can be fresh start ;-)

Yap, but the last 2 where I was able to give the room out of hands to Forecast Audio and Warriorz really took a lot of work out of my hands. 's why I'm hoping I'll be able to fill the dates with organisations or someone who's able to make me good propositions.
you know Im always ready for a chill out warmin up ^^ and why not invite some WARP guests once again? :D
