Copyleft, Profits, Sharing
Help neededHi,
I have used quite a few bits of music from here in films which I will be distributing in CD or DVD form to groups that are interested in copying them and on-selling them and sending back 75% to me and others involved in the various projects.
It is unlikely that I will make profits but, if I do, what happens with copyleft items that are not for profit? Can I distribute back to the song writers a portion of any (probably minute) profit?

so basically if you use the song to make money, you should contact the author of the track and discuss it with him prior to using the song .....
I suppose if we're talking small money, i'm sure most artists you feature on your cd/dvd would be more than happy to see their name mentioned in the credits and would love to receive a copy. But thats not for me to decide but for you and the artists to agree on :)
ps: if you used a lot of songs from electrobel, it would be really nice to put a little word ;)

Hi, I am on another computer and don't have the details in front of me. I'll let Electorbel forum and the people concerned know which songs I have used. I haven't made any money yet; and hardly any copies, so permission regarding commercial use is pretty theoretical at this stage.
