I have connected my Yamaha DX7 to my Edirol Fa101, my Novation Drumstation and Microkorg with a Midi hub. Now everytime when i want to use my novation bass station, Orla DSE 9 or Yamaha RM1x i need to pull some other hardware, otherwise i can't use my gear. does anybody know what i need to buy to make it possible to use more hardware in midi together with my computer And how much will it cost me?
as far as i know: can't you just connect them al in serie? midi out of edirol into midi in of rm1x, midi out of rm1x into midi in of bass-station and so on ? otherwise u can always buy a midi-splitblock or midi-interface for your computer, they are not that expensive in think
i would go for a large enough midi- interface...
check midiman, affordable and good !!
I'll check it out thanks

midi interface out > in:device 1:thru > in:device 2:thru> etc.
take care of the midi channel settings in your sequencer and devices hé
midiman is good so is opcode
make sure you have 8 ins and 8 outs, ... that makes 164 possible midi-connections. If, after that, you still have too much gear ... you'dd better post some pics of that studio of yours ^^
do never buy something from ZARk... you know how much he is violent and liar... :D
thanks everybody Hehe I don't have that much gear But it's easier to connect everything Then i would need to buy a bigger mixer :( I also tried it before to link them just in a chain But i would like it more with something like midiman sport 4x4 or 8x8 I'll contact Zark for that greetz

For example i connected my microkorg's midi thru to the novation and then to the yamaha rm1x But the midi notes came from my yamaha and then i had no midi signal for my microkorg and drumstation I guess if i copie midi notes to ableton Then it will work But takes a lot of time to get all my miditracks from my yamaha or maybe i'm doing something wrong in my midi messaging with my computer. If i use the same setup without comp it runs ok
