i had an external soundblaster mp3 or something like that but it got broken at a party it had very good strong output signal, phono they make it now but its called 'Creative Sound Blaster Connect' and its inexpensive its surprisingly good it could even cope with reaktor or you can get a soundblaster live external but it costs more i have a terretec internal in my pc it can cope with anything i throw at it!

In low budget I would suggest you the m-audio audiophile firewire. Price around 180 Euros... but hurry up to find it, coz I think they stopped making it few months ago. Im midlevel, I would go for the Presonus Firepod 350 Euros

There are tons of people with pc's (not macs) who have a lot of unsolvable problems with the m-audio FW (incl myself and friends). I'd say: stay the hell away from that card.

maybe thats the reason why it isnt built anymore... on mac (I know two people using it) it works just perfectly.

i need it mainly for production purposes. is it important to buy one that has a crystalizer? because i don't think the soundblaster has one.>
