Mixed in key

helpful, yeah,but seriously,all you need to do it take your guitar or piano or a simple oscillator vsti and play the notes until it corresponds to the samples key , then you know in witch key it is. this is my method anyway.

sure... but this scans your files... so if it works you do all that in no time... that was my thought

Yeah good software for its price. But before all a Dj/musician have to know what this table is. (probably you know as well as you are guitarist)

i dont know any table but my ears tells me each time if its wrong or good, if its a harmony or not. And its like that for almost all producers i know... I dont understand the meaning of the software?? 

would be interesting if you mix with ableton and such, to have the key of the song in the title so you know which songs fit together. but then again, it's quite lazyass :p

It's software ment for DJ's, especially trance DJ's who want long and harmonic  mixes between records. the program gives you a number of the scheme: 6B which means this track blends harmonically with the tracks that have the same number or numbers adjacent to it: 5B, 7B & 6A.

well I have it now...

and I must say its a very cool and helpful tool

now I have written the root key and the bpm of all my loops, samples and songs in the filename...

I can see them from the beginning and group them easily... spares me an eternity! 

sounds like a really helpful tool. i did the work myself, and i keep the info in an excell-document. can the results of this program be integrated in virtual dj and stuff?

You can either rename the file or just add the info into the id3 tag of your song/loop/sample.

If you chose to rename the file, the software adds automatically key and bpm in front or behind the initial file name.

So the answer to your question is: Yes... coz these softwares do show you the filename and sometimes also the id3-tag.

Another advantage is, that this way you can easily group songs/samples/loops of a same key together.

Btw... In Ableton renaming your files won't harm your former livesets... if you always saved self contained sets. If you dont you might get in trouble finding the files back as they now have a different name. ( for instance: "B12 - 145 - songname.mp3" where there was only "songname.mp3" before.)

well, what i do is making sure each track in my DAW is fully equipped with at least 2 or 3 distortion-pluggies, and if after that, there still would be an ounce of harmonics left, i'dd kill that straight away with a bitcrusher on the final mixdown ... ^^
