After being blacklisted by Credit Card Companies due to pressure from the RIAA, AllOfMP3 has been taken offline this week.
AllOFMP3 Is a legal download site, where you can get lots and lots of music for reasonable prices . (talking $0.20 / song) This is legal in Russia because of Russian laws. 15% goes to the Russian Licensing societies; which then pay the different Copyright Owners ( sacem,sabam,etc....). So all of this is legal, and money goes where it should. Only, less than what RIAA would want.
Right now the only alternatives are buying a 1$ / song at itunes store, or others, with a DRM crippled file ...
RIAA is trying to defend a lifestyle that is gone, endangering the future of the music market. Besides, i personnaly think it's "wrong" to sell songs at $1, making them almost as expensive as buying a REAL cd, with a REAL booklet .. all having manufacturing costs, transportation costs, handling costs .. whereas the mp3 file only takes up hdd space and bandwidth.
AllOfMP3 is dead ... but MP3Sparks is now online. Same people, all accounts were transfered, no money was lost for customers ...
yessssss! this kind of site are make by some bastards which don't hesite to sell album of jamendo. i hav been victim of that :D but me i'm care i'm not a star ^^
*i hav never buy mp^3 *yes i go to the mediatheque *nevernevernever *i prefer electrobel :)
nope, DRM bugs me
i buy cd's from time to time, usually to collect my all-time favorites. i like to have the real cd's with the artwork and stuff.
nope but at that price i'll seriously consider it!
it s indeed absurd that downloadable mp3s cost as much as music on cd. the record industry is not adapting, it s just trying everything to keep it s pre-internet lifestyle of megaloman profits going. what s needed is cutting out all the dead weight from the industry and get back to the basics: music by musicians. which is probably an utopian thought...
n(^ù^)don't buy on iTunes™ n(^ù^)goes to the mediatheque™ CD's are way too expensive regarding the costs of fabrication, so buying a song 1€ is way far too expensive. n(^ù^)° has never heard before this thread of AllOfMP3…
never bought an mp3 online and i think never will...i go to la mediatheque and somethimes i buy the cd's or vinyls but mostly for artwork and coz it's more fun to put on a vinyl than to push play on yer computah :) i'm really with DTR about the record industries still trying to earn big buks on the internet... muzik on the internet should stay free and if you want to earn just make a great cover and cd n stuff
this kind of site is the most important reason for what the Ukraine cannot enter in Europe

sorry for the offtopic but I got some questions for you:
Off topic, but bandarlog has invited me to put my PM response on this thread…

sorry for the offtopic but I got some questions for you:
Why do you always talk in the third person about yourself?
Where does n(^u^) come from and what is the link to your name?
Why do you put 'team' behind every possible word?
Why don't you? Does it bother you? This is just a polite way of writing things. (oldfashioned, but polite).
When we decide to create a virtual band with lorsen and BpOlar, I thought it was more interesting to change nEURO™ into n(^ù^)°, 'cause if you read nEURO…™ within something you know that it "belongs" to nEURO™. It was a way to know I was a part of the trio, on an equal situation as the others. That trio doesn't "belong" to nEURO™. Is it clear enough?
We're living in a world where almost everything is being ™,©,… I'm thinking that's pretty stupid, so I use it often to prove how silly it is. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't care at all to be considered as a jerk. I can make a fool of myself without problems… So, I'm gonna keep it on… nEUROgreetings™ or n(^ù^)° or n€™ or …

Thanks, don't feel offended, I was just curious. It was unclear to me and I assume to a lot of people. So it's a bit of a shame this info is in a pm and not public.
cheers
