Well, i know that there is already the thread General Quality which talk a little about that but i think that this kind of subject need a thread. i would like that you listen to this : http://www.electrobel.be/muzik/20812/3_banddab it's 17min of clipped sound. :s i know that's a people which is learning to make sound, and i know also that many people which will don't like this will just close de player and listen other things. i know also that if u listen some of my first track there are also very clipped, but I would like to refuse this track and ask at this artist to remake it with more attention to his master volume or just add a limiter and repost it. it's very sensible cause of derivation. so what we can do against this? i think that the answer to this question will be surely "nothing" but i want to know what do you think.

if you think the track totally sucks, put it in ICZ ^^ yes because if i refuse track for his bad quality maybe a day i will refuse a track because it's too compressed and an other day a track where the drum is too submixed, Arf !
well i put this track in icz and i post a little message Dear Freethinker, * * I have move your track 3_banddab in ICZ section, because it is clipping, u must to look at the master of your ableton live when u do a track, if you see the color red u must pull down the volume of all your track (pull down the master it's a bad idea) u can also put a limiter effect on your master which will reduce the volume when is his too loud. see the mda limiter which is free and good. I think u should remake this track with more attention to this problem, u will get a very better sound. *All the best, * *LebelgeElectrod. *
This is a consequence of the loudness war on people who have waves maximisers at their disposal but don't know shit about them.
i think there is no problem to remove this to icz, its not about personal taste its just a technical prob, so i d say good job to have 'seen' it ^^

You can be an unknowing victim you know. Collateral damage they call it... If he or anyone thinks "hey all the other tracks sound superloud and mine is all quiet & shit", then he's a victim :))
And if he didn't maximise THAT, I'd like to see how he produces (Iphone earplugs?)
i don't have to listen to the track but I thought that if tracks are of very poor sound quality we should NOT authorise them and give them feedback before they expose themselves and burn their name... I think it was better not to authorise it, give feedback on how to make it better and propose to upload a new version.

lots of moderate work no?but i agree on the general thing, there are lots of poor songs being authorized, in any case i put them in icz, but as reaman says, not authorizing would be better, but the question is who will judge about that (i wouldn't be very pleased if my song doesn't get accepted), and who will take the time to listen every 'crap' song and give feedback to make it better...Personally i wouldn't
