Guidelines :
- No copyrighted material (as usual)
- One song per artist
- Must be a new song, never heard on ebel or elsewhere.
- You cannot post the song in ICZ to get user opinions about it.
- Must fit the theme : DARK
Deadline : 25 February 2007 @ 23:59 (Belgian Time)

Instructions :
Post your song as usual (My Muzik; ADD,....)
Be sure to select "_Electrobel Zone / Dark Contest" in the step of the wizard which asks which Style to classify the song.
The song will not appear on the website, in fact it'll stay as 'Pending' until after deadline. So in fact, posting the song asap is pretty useless, better stay home and work on it making it perfect before deadline. Once the deadline passed, no more songs will be accepted, and all the songs will be made Anonymous.(remove the author name, description, maybe title). ( WARNING: deadline = deadline ... computer will take care of it)
Comments will not be allowed on those tracks.
Any link to a specific song from the contest on the wall or other website will disqualify the track ( we have methods to find things out, specifically and statistically based).
Play fair.
ps: all songs already posted for the competition will get blocked (as the final rules weren't written yet)

BIFFF 2007: 25TH EDITION OF BRUSSELS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF FANTASTIC, THRILLER AND SCIENCE FICTION FILM

Your work LIVE at TOUR & TAXIS? It could happen. For the 25th edition of the festival, the BIFFF moves to the tour & taxis site.
Accomodating over 4000m² of space, the festival will not only house the best of the alternative movie genres. This year there will also be space for finetuning the line between the musical and the audiovisual arts.
Je m'en fish presents in collaboration with the electrobel platform, quite probably Belgium's largest FREE platform of online music (with recent additional platforms into the Netherlands, the UK and France), a contest, to search for the most innovating musical pieces it can discover in the theme of 'Dark and innovative' music. Be it filmic and atmospheric or uptempo and foreboding, the website will until the deadline host your work anonimously. For new users of the platform, you will find full information here:

After the deadline, a system of voting will be presented to all registered members and a winner will thus be anonimously chosen. A top 5 will be concluded, of which the #1 wins the painting.
After this, we will present this top 5 artists to a jury consisting of:
-Luc Van Acker, professional musician for over 25 years -Jim Boquet, organiser Alienor event, France -One person of the BIFFF -The original founder of the contest, Electrobel user Sapaj, together with Electrobel webmaster Zark -Je m'en fish artistic director Bart Dujardin
The winner of this contest will be able to perform LIVE at tour & Taxis with a short set at the 'Nuit blanche du film fantastique' on Saturday April 7th (Films 22h to 07h + breakfast), where you will also be filmed, and we will aid you in the development of your artistic work together with a visual presentation in light of a new and imrpoved set at Alienor cyberculture festival in Lille, France in October 2007!
As if that's not enough, not only will you win a night for 2 people of your project's choice in a 5-star hotel in Brussels during the BIFFF (Note: this does NOT have to be the same night as the performance), you will also play alongside:
-The Neon Judgement -Luc Van Acker presents: Revco -Foochow

Participations are now closed. We will now review all the entries to make sure the artists complied with the rules of the contest.
Voting will commence once this validation process has been completed.
The songs will not appear on e-bel yet, all voting and listening will be done on a special "dark contest" mini site.
