so hey...yeah i finally managed to get a new HD coz the old one just died on me and i passed the whole day installing progs on my computah...how can i now make a ghost of all this so next time something crashes i can just put the ghost file in and everything will be back to normal...

ah yeah and another question...i was making some kickass weird sounds in fruity and i tried to record them with cool edit pro, total recorder or even the magnetaphone from windows...it says some stuff i don't understand and doesn't record anything...problem with the soundcard??? my old pentium 3 is capable of recording stuff from movies n stuff and my laptop isn't???

fuck!!! ah yeah and if needed i have this soundcard : Image

coming with this : Image

but that really sucks that i have to connect everything just to record some sounds...

thanx for di answerz

for the ghost: just google for a ghost-program, burn it on a cd and boot your pc with it. than you can select what you want to include in the ghost (system, program files, user settings...). be shure to excluse documents and data out of it, otherwise the ghost will be too big to burn on a dvd. you can then select how much the compressionrate should be (it's lossless compression); mostly the compression decreases the ghost-size by half or more (try to make the ghost for on one dvd, although it is possible on 2). then you can write the ghost to another partition of your HD (if you have only one partition, you better create a second one for your data anyway). then reboot yer pc without the cd and burn the ghost to a dvd. to return to your ghost-image when the pc if f*cked up, just bot with the ghost-dvd and it will be returned to original state within 15 minutes

When fruity is set on the asio driver, your recording program has to be too... problem solved ;-)

Why the hell do you want to record something outside FL? Render it or press record when you're doing live action tweaking...

The not being able to play anything whe FL is running: depends on your soundcard. i have the same problem. When ASIO is running in FL I can't play directX or asio in other programs. Every time I go to cooledit for some serious editing of wavs, I set audio to directx/wave in Fl. Problem solved.
