heumm i dont really see the prob using a unregistered cubase to perform if you trust your H2O version...

won't sabam find out?? and if they do, what happens with the copyrights?

well ask yourself: would you find it an ethical issue to earn money with stuff you haven't payed for yourself?

as for myself, i've spent thousand's of €'s on instruments and gear so i really don't see why i wouldn't be able to pay for my software too. i bought Live and i'm happy to financialy support Ableton so they can make new and better stuff. oh and i still haven't earned a penny with my music.

ow yeah, sure ... just last week, they hopped by @ my place to search for illicit softs, but i managed to please them with some hard-core-chicken-molest-pornography they also encountered in a far away folder ...

so, one good advice ... alwayz have some hard-core-chicken-molest-porno on a back-up installed somewhere m8

i think it's ok to use cracked software...but when you have the money it's good to pay the software :)

i'm not as rich to be able to do that but when i'm famous and stuff i will :p

i think it's ok to play few lives with the unregistered copy to earn the money to pay the software that's all ;)

i think you will need to pay for the newest cubase, since h20 said they wouldn't spend another year cracking the next version :)

anyway, i think a lot of software is so overpriced you cannot buy everything you need, i personaly own a copy of flstudio(my main host) and a few softsytnhs i use most... the rest i admit i never bought, altho i will buy it if i really use it...

to proof software is really over priced i'll give this example: i payed my novation k station 240 euro, having the hardware for free compared to the price a v station costed a that time which was 200 euro, so if you can tell me anyone who can make all this hardware for 40 euro's i will agree softsynths are not overpriced :p

i've decided to use different software .. i'm using EnergyXT right now .. it costs less than 40e and can do things that cubase can't.

no rewire though ...

i invested a lot of my cash in buying gear, so i have some decent hardware now... when u earn money with ur stuff... buy the programs that got you there...

ow yeah... a good way to get caught is posting this on a forum on an internet site... :D

Energy XT is one fine host, I really like it and use it from time to time. My main host is FLStudio though, I really like the workflow.

For other parts: if you use it, buy it.

lots of hypocrisy on e-bel on this subject imho...
