Je m'en fish is hosting with 'Weekend starts here' a one-time only open stage for electronic music. We're accepting live sets and dj-sets.

MEKITBURN FESTIVAL 2008

Mekitburn festival is a yearly 2-day event in the protected area 'Domein 3 fonteinen' in Vilvoorde on the outskirts of Brussels. Hosting 2 indoor stages and an outdoor stage, we are opening up a stage for one project. No contest involved, anyone can fill in, the choice will be made by the festival and us as deemed fitting to the rest of the line-up. No 'pre-selection', no elimination rounds, etc.

No half-baked sets at 14h or 16h for minimal audience either, the set will run at around midnight, right in front of international reknown headliners. Who these will be will be announce shortly. You'll be playing in the main indoor hall (capacity 800, see pictures).

With over 3000 people present in 2007 spread over 2 days, the minimal entrance fee coupled with a free camping and parking lot and cheap drinks entertained the audience from start to finish. 2008 will be hosting even more workshops and even more international exchange projects AND a few headlining artists to come out of the pipeline.
