This thread concerns the upcoming ebel night in July.

Okay, so, it will be after 7days off and in the same place, i don't have the exact date yet. it will be between the 15 to 24july

So, for the lineup, i was thinking of doing an electro/house/techno lineup.

Budget is unfortunately very small, so you should be able to pay off your transport and a couple of drinks, but probably not more.

So.

interested in playing ?

post in here and we'll review your works :)

well the lineup style is just an idea.

it's just because we've never had the chance of having a house/techno lineup :)

so in all fairness, i'd like to give them a chance ;)

It will be between 15th and 24th of July. Location will be at Rector at the 'Gentse Feesten'. Start at 23h, and at least until 5 or 6 in the mroning (but knowing that festival, anything is possible).

It's 10 days, so even counting on live sets or dj-sets of 1 hour, that's at LEAST 60 live sets or dj-sets spread over the festival. And since Je m'en fish has an open-air stage, a lot of our artists are already playing.

The entrance will be free, to make it easil accessible for everyone. There's no point asking for entrance on a festival where there's beer and music available everywhere. But this will also mean that there's not a lot of budget each night, but I'll look for sponsors.

I'm thinking of doing at least 2 e-bel nights, one like Zark said, the other one, anything goes at the moment.

Yes, I am intrested... as long as it is not on the 15th. I don't know if my style fits, but then I guess it fits nowhere and everywhere!

i'm willing to play for free :)) so if i understand well, i can also play a dj-set instead of only live ? coewl! much more flexibility :D only matter is.. 60 minutes is very short for a dj-set :(

No, dj sets can be longer, no worries :) I'll already have a hard time filling 10 days anyway. And as far as styles go: The idea I had with Zark is filling one evening, Electrobel showcase, with Techno/House/Electro.

The other evenings, everything is ok for me, but considering the nature of 'Gentse Feesten', some extreme styles might be a bit hard to put there, if we want to have some audience (and there's other clubs in Gent that cater more for that audience anyway). Don't forget that Rector is not really in the centre of town, so we'll need to make it clear something is happening there. I'm already in discussion with some magazines and such for promotion. Maybe buy an ad in Rifraf magazine or something, if I can find the funds.

So I'm still open for all possible suggestions, I only received confirmation yesterday :)
