(because it looks like it i'm not going to win the contest) had a discussion bout the topic months ago (on the forum) and some good stuff came up... one thing i remeber was: everybody gets free webspace for (let's say) 10 songs. If u want more, pay for it. A small yearly contribution for hosting or a fix/extra song. It would stop some users pooring their poor musical compositions into our ears. One would think twice before posting it. If some users don't want to be on ebel anymore then it means they never cared for it. How small the fee may be, lot's of users with a small fee still gives money for effort. I'm still pro! Or imposing a choice: buy a t-shirt, make a small donation (how much worth is ebel to you?) or pay for hosting!!! If you like Ebel you just do it!

Je me rappelle d'une qui était fort intéressante: vous pouvez poster vos chansons gratuitement si vous ne dépassez pas la limite de 10 chansons. Plus de 10 chansons= payer pour l'année ou par chanson (même payer très peu peut apporter beaucoup si on est beaucoup) Soit imposer ceci: acheter un t-shirt ou payer pour l'année. Si vous aimez Electrobel vous n'hésitez pas!

I'm not so sure about the limit of 10 songs. But we really need to have some good compilations of e-bel artists. It would be nice to have a small group that design & produce the e-bel cd's. Why not creating a real label with the options to have yours song in a compilation-cd for free or to have your own full cd on the e-bel label by paying the costs of the production. I know it can create some conflicts when someone is being refused because of the quality of the songs... to be discussed.... The best is to make compils, there are genres enough. The thing is not to make money, but to create facilities for the promotion of every electronic artist here in our small country.

totally agree with you guys...when i'll get some money will definetly buy the t-shirt...and maybe we could organize some parties with the ebel artists...'cause there are plenty of good sound on this site..and like make an entrance price and all the money for electrobel... well i just woke up so i don't really understand what the f**k am i writing:)

i'm absolutely pro for a yearly fee for electrobel: thsi community has seen too many people who aren't serious about music, making shit all the way down and post it, whereafter nobody listens to it anymore (so the limit of 10 songs for non-payers suits me well!). once i have enough money (i just bought a new pc), i'll definatly pay the 20 euro's for that nice patchpanel-shirt!!! i also would like to see an electrobel-label!! cause, like you all now: it is f*cking hard to get your stuff pressed, if you don't know the right people. as electrobel is a great place to learn, it would be very nice if you can have your music selled, after all the work you did on your music and learning how to make it good. i think electrobel and a great number of tracks on it have big potention!!

Shit ...looks like I will have to hurry on ordering those t-shirts... It hasn't come to it yet, but if I read this thread, then I'd better hurry before the stock rans out.... 8o

And hell...If I'd find these shirts in a store, I'd buy them anyway, and probably twice the price you pay them here...

suggestions ...ok, but all depends on Zark (as always) does he want all this? Does Zark really want to create a label, start selling compilations, have other members interfering with the gestion of what happens on Ebel?? This group - as Kinet mentions - implies that Zark hands of some of the control over Ebel because all these things take a lot of time and i guess he hasn't got plenty of it left.

Label or not, the issue here is to give Ebel some financial freedom in order to garantee us this platform. If selling T-shirts is enough, why bother all the work? Me too i would like to figure on an Ebelcompil, i guess everybody does, but is it worth all the time?

to cestqui... the only thing we can do is suggest something. If Zark says...ok, let's do the annual fee, then something can be decided... it's not up to us. It's up to Zark.
