Hi I figured I'd better ask this to people who know this before I fuck up all my stuff.. Stuff: M-audio F410... http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FireWire410-main.html Digitech digital delay...http://www.digitech.com/products/digidelay.htm Fruity Problem: As an example: I start from a simple snare-sample. First I want to put an equaliser and a compressor on it for example. Then I want to run that signal trough the digidelay and then that signal would have to go back to my masterchannel in fruity. Is this possible considering the stuff I described above???? If yes..how?:)

thanks!

routings must then go back tru the efx channels of youre mixer !  this is more an hardware issue than an soft ware prob i think ! i dont now you re hardware set up ! greets

Well the M-audio F410 and the digidelay is pretty much all I have what "hardware" is concerned:)

correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can just route one of your interface outputs to your effect and then back to one of your interface inputs. In your software set your snare channel to the selected output, make a new channel and set its input to the selected one. you can use your trs (jack) in and outputs for this I think, gonna try this out myself (in ableton) when I have my dynamic wah pedal back

It works!!..thanks man...maybe a second question: Now that it works I have some latency..I red somewhere that it's good to set your samplebuffer to maximum because it's good for your cpu...I've noticed that if I set the samplebuffer to a lower value the latency is better. So for the moment I have to choose between latency or high cpu. Isn't there another solution?? Thanks again

no problem, I'm glad it worked :D

for the latency problem:

when routing/recording try to freeze/render all the rest from the song, minimise the fx/vst's used etc.. so your cpu stays low and that you can set your buffer as low as possible (=low latency) without hearing crackle. mostly when I record some guitar or something I try to render or freeze the rest of the song, so I can record with low latency. After the recording you can just unfreeze everything

i myself put my sample buffer lenght in fl on maximum, dispite that i have a rather good m-audio "audiophile 2496"soundcard. however in fl, my output is routed throu a line 6 "toneport"(external soundcard). still if i put the buffer lower, i'll get alot of glitch cpu problems. what i found is that you should work with as litle vsti's as possible and bounce the melodies and whatnot to .wav to then reload it in fl again, it uses alot less cpu. simple jet effective but not nearly as fun of having all the instruments running at the same time ^^
