FL Studio help required

You have to make an automation on the master-volume. Just right-click on master-volume, choose make automation and then click in the window directly beneath your parts-pattern-window, this opens a small part that you can pull to the length desired, it is in fact an curve that controls now the master-volume.

i'm a six-years FL studio user but never automated anything... so No, Ero it's not stupid at all... i always fade out with soundforge afterwards...

i have almost the same answer as reaman here, use FL for 5 years and until last month never used automation. Just recently i started using it, just as a tryout. For fading out, i don't use it as most of the time, there's only very few sounds running in the last seconds of the track so i just put them in a new pattern on a lower volume (with one of those buttons on the top left from your pattern-window you can arrange the volume if you didn't find that out but i guess you did), pretty much the same effect as automation imo. viele gruBen

Automation is very powerfull in FL, you can automate everything! Just link to any parameter you want and make an automation!

8o How do you huys change pans? Make cutoff dance? add vibrato etc? Fruity automation power forever :))

i wouldn't see myself producing in ableton live without automation either...

Thanx all u guys, ill try out the methods u've suggested and see whats will suit my requirements best. I kinda liked the idea of putting the ending notes on a new pattern at a lower volume. Basically, the reason why i asked is cause i tried using the Super MP3 Recorder Pro, which is the software i use for all my final exporting into mp3 format. But the problem is that with fl studio, there is a clash in the kbs and as a result the quality of the sound is really shit! So before i used to be fadin out in the Super MP3 Recorder Pro, but i was forced to try it in fl. Ill also give soundforge a try, hopefully ill get a better sound quality. ;)

i guess they dont... :) edit events is the best solution to music ever 8) hahaha!

;D no, personally i dont... still amateur 8) but for fading-out i dont think its really necessary ?
