Concept :

Let’s all unite this New Years Eve as Beats of Love is spreading its wings and flying over to the Eskimo building to join the fans of eclectic and urban vibes in a full blown New Years fest with 3 rooms. For several years in a row now, Beats of Love at Vooruit was completely sold out. We felt it was time for something different, something new & exciting, something fresh & sparkling, a move to a bigger venue was the best solution to make everybody happy. The Eskimo building is not only a gorgeous venue, it is also easily accessible and will be fitted with the best sound- and light around. It used to be the home-ground for another one of Ghent’s popular New Years Eve parties, New Year in Style, which will now get a serious boost by being united with the Beats of Love electro vibe and crowd. uNYghted wants to spoil you to the max this New Years eve and this in a fantastic environment. We bring you three rooms with the best dj’s, marvelous decors,state-of-the-art light and sound and 3 unforgettable atmospheres with 3 different music styles.

Want to start the year with that extra touch? Order your VIP ticketswith close-by parking and access to the VIP decks with service and finger-food. All tickets are available online or at a Free Record Shop.

In the Beats of Love room we welcome previous guests Les Petits Pilous as headliners. This young French duo made its name on Boys Noize records. Their first signing: ‘Hello, we are’ was an instant hit and several others followed on Turbo Recordings, Ed Banger and Boys Noize off course. They have become major players in the scene in a record amount of time and played Dour, Pukkelpop and I Love Techno. They will be joined by The Oddword: two boys from Antwerp who will bring you raw electronic bass. During their sets you'll find yourself in a whirlpool of electro, techy & bloody beats... With their active and hyped-up mood they make the crowd go Woooahhh! They usually tear the roof, dj booth & the whole club down... as you'll usually find one of them dancing on the dj. booth or in the crazy crowd. And also Raving George knows how to get the temperature in a room rising, her appearance alone makes many sweat but more importantly, her sets are simply hot. She is one of the big revelations of the moment after playing in ‘My set rules’ on Jim Tv and winning the Studio Brussels Switch contest where she is now also a resident. These past months she played on many major events as Pukkelpop, Laundry day and I love Techno. The guests will be joined by our resident Spacid and up and coming talents Ego Troopers who’s first ep with the same name will come out in January on the English Blood Music label. These two young talents surprised friend and foe with their mix of techno and electro and a touch of disco. The songs of those analog synthfreaks are supported by big guys as 2 many Dj's, A-Track, Erol Alkan ... and Fake Blood. In the four-in-a-row room the games will be led by Yves V., one of Belgium’s leading house jocks. Headliner at the mighty Tomorrowland and chosen by David Guetta to open his Belgian shows, Yves also produced several hits this year as the summer smasher Madagascar ( with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike), Forever ( with Digital Lab & Pedro Henriques) and the latest one: Shaykid with Lazy Jay, who will also be joining us. Also Dimaro is really hot in Belgium at the moment and plays on all the big festivals and parties. He has been working with artists as Akron, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Amanda Wilson. Next up are the Ghent Bangers, also known as the successful joint-venture of Culture Club residents Neon & Davidov. They combine over 25 years of nightlife-experience, destroying the hottest clubs, events & parties nationwide and beyond. They both love and play the best of all electronic worlds and on-stage they create a high-quality melting pot of urban music, electro, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep & rock. Just as eclectic but also orientated towards house and pop vibes are Les Mecs, a group of 4 dj's based in Ghent who are known for their powerful mixing. In 2009, they released tracks like ‘Let me take you away’ and ‘Don’t You want me’on La Musique du Beau Monde Records. This year they got signed to N.E.W.S. Records and teamed up with David Latour to bring us ‘One Day 2011’. Also the famous brothers duo Frères Deluxe is still blending, mishing and mashing electro, 80’s, drum ‘n’ bass, R&B, contemporary dance and rock, after having been on stage with almost every dj around ... and countless (and we really mean countless) live-bands. There are few clubs and festivals in Belgium that have not had the pleasure to hear them play.

The third room on uNYghted will be serving pure urban vibes to keep that booty shaking all night long. Former DMC Champion and member of famous ‘Supreme Team’, Sake comes over from Antwerp. He has been running the ‘Hot Sunday Nights’ at Mondial in Holland for 14 years now. Each Friday he brings ‘Forever Funky’ to La Rocca. He’s sharing the decks with DJ Dysfunkshunal, without a doubt one of the greatest turntablists Belgium has ever known. His unique style of blending hip-hop, r&b, electro, house, dancehall, reggae, soul & funk while incorporating his outstanding turntablist skills is what distinguishes him from most other DJ’s. As a member of the Killa Tactics crew he travelled across the globe, nowadays, you can find him at the biggest events. Black Frank will be completely at home in Ghent where the people love his performances at places like Charlatan and Culture Club. Equally at home are Rauw en Onbesproken, the 4 headed hiphop formation who mostly rap about what keeps them busy on a daily basis in their beloved Ghent. They won the ‘De Beloften’ - a prestigious Ghent based pop- and rock contest - in 2010 and brought us their 4th album ‘Sprookjes duren nooit lang’ this year. They will hype you up in that special New Years way, with one of their typical and very strong live performances.
