Ok
i'm experimenting with ambient soundscapes. I'm currently using Reason (running on osx) but i was wondering if there is anything more suitable for this type of music?
any suggestions are welcome
Absynth2 !!!! by Native Instruments and Atmosphere by Spectrasonics check: http://www.spectrasonics.net/
there aren't really any programs like reason specialized in that kind of thing. Absynth, Athmosphere, Reaktor, etc.. are all excellent pieces of software, but you'd need some kind of multitrack sequencer to glue it all together. Since you're on a mac, take a look at Emagic Logic.
Hi Bennie i am using Reaktor from Native instruments it's a great program to build your own patches or synths.
I build my synths at my own in reaktor to make good original soundscapes You can also do it in Max/Msp but that program it's to difficult to start with. If i have maded good soundscapes then i converted it to wav files and then i go to another great program called Ableton to put all the wav files i have made From then i use a external midi controller to assing the wav files and then i can make a live set with beats or scapes assinged to all the buttons of my midi controller, change effect setting or enveloppes its all possible.
