a reasonable price for decent headphones is more like 150€.  Go for AKG or the better sennheisers.

for producing I like the AKG k240...

DON'T buy ecler ech 602 :d ( i already made that mistake, 150 euro and i make better things with my synq hps 2 of 60 euro :s )

SONY MDR 7506 is good to!!!!

i have the  beyerdynamic 770pro, and it's a very comfortable and high quality headphone with good isolation. they use them in all the radiostudio's of VRT, so they must be some good i guess.

i use it for editing, field/studio-recording and watching movies on the train ^

I use some cheapo akg headphones (the K-44 and K-33). I'm very happy with them. They are not perfectly isolated, and you can't use them to mix on. But they have a very pleasant sound, are very comfortable to wear, very durable and perfectly usable during the creative process. These things don't break (I've dj'd with them for a long time and they have seen some serious abuse)

Once I need to mix a track down I use monitors (and so should you :P )

They're only like 30 euro

So I guess I would take the Sony MDR 7509 HD but it's a little bit expensive (280 €) or the **AKG K 240 Studio **(129 €) because of the frequencies ranges.

If someone use one of these, please, share your experience. I don't want to hear noises while composing AND I also don't want that others can here what I'm playing so I'm a little bit scared to buy the AKG...

i use the k240 and am pretty happy with them.. mine has one flaw, the bass is very upfront...

but i use an older edition of them..

elfenkommando has a newer model of the k240 and that one doesn't have that problem, so when mine break down, i 'll go for those...

believe me, if u crank the volume up very high, it doesn't matter what headphones you use, some noise will allways escape to the outside...

OK, I'll probably go for the AKG then ;) One thing I have to know as I work near the bedroom of my daughter and I premaster my tracks with headphones, how is the sound ? pretty good balanced or that little something annoying ?
