hi there,
This is more for the Nederlandstaligen among you I guess...
A while back I started this project to do something else then make music. My ears weren't doing all that well, so I had to do something else i like: drawing.
I just finished the first half of the project. It's a sort of dark-commic-book or something. It's based on a shortstory I once wrote.
Anyway I just would like to check if it's worth anything, and if it's more or less clear what I'm talking (and drawing ) about.
So here it is http://www.thethreatofdawn.be.tt/nieuws.html It's the introduction in dutch. then follow the NachtVlinSter-link
You can post comment and tips here or in the Guestbook.
For the french-speaking people; you can always look at the prentjes, like I did in commics when i was younger.
Thankyou and enjoy
P.S.: the second part is due for somewhere at the end of the years probably...
ok, well you've got yourself a first fan :)
my girlfriend is into drawing that kinda stuff as well, and i am into writing a lot...
i have few remarks, i like it as it is, just in some sentences i would change the order of the words...
if you want i will write them down tonight along with some suggestions and send it to you...
lemme know
Wow!! Here's fan number two. Am a long-time strip-fanatic and i can say i was impressed by the story-telling u use. I guess it fits well with your music. I totally dig the "accenten" u use. Words and Drawings!!!
Do you have other stuff like this, if so leave a note at http://www.myspace.com/stripkever They do a lot of expositions of young Belgian talent these days, and i guess your work fits well!!
goodluck! lemme know when you have other stuff!!
no, doorchaser...u know stripkever? i buy all my strips there, it's not far from my home ;-)
nice people, nice place, and they support young talent indeed...
if you want i can put in a good word if u have some promo stuff threat ...

Hehe I'm the one responsible for the fact they don't have "Lanfeust..." or "Trollen van Troy" in stock anymore!! :D
Yeps when I go shopping in Mechelen "De stripkever" is always there!!!!
and about that good word Threat I can support that!! 8)
Thanks for the tip about stripkever! But I think I should finish the storry first before I start participating in expos and contest and so, no?
It's the first thing in this style i do. I used to write a lot of shortstorries when i was younger, so if got some basic material for future drawing-projects if this one ever gets finished.
Getting some nice comments like these sure is motivating to do the second part of the storrie! :D
thank u very much!

If you ever make an album of this story, I'm sure Jan (of "De Stripkever") would be happy to sell it in his shop! I saw other self-made strips of local heroes there, and they sell!!

I'm finally done with the second part!!
Still in Duch only.... sorry frenchies! :)

As always, my ego likes comments (even bad ones!) :D
thx & enjoy (or at least try to...)
For some odd reason this makes me think of the cult game 'Another World'. There's something in the graphics reminiscent of that one. Nicely done, small nitpick, the page has a constant pop-up on IE and with each page needing to click 'next' that's rather tedious.

Strange... The pop-up only pops up once when the new screan opens here.... not every time I hit the arrow! :s
those damn free hosts!
I'm a crappy "web-designer" so I don't really have the power to make anything else without "next-arrows"... I stick to brute HTML-code you know. I really should learn to work some dreamweaver of full flash-site-making i guess.
