Dance n Rock

so we have this "genre" called Dance n Rock ...
it was created back in 2003 by Samforce so that it would fit some of his songs..
now erm, think it's time to clean that one, .
Maybe making a "rock" genre ? Or something ? Or find a better name for it ? Or are things good the way they are ? has to be "clear" for anonymous visitors that are looking for muzik :)
would like to have some feedbacks from the people who post in it :) vanpet,distreality, reaman, rabauw, 101sonic.
Other input off course more than welcome ;)

actually, yeah time to clean up dance and rock or atleast give some more disclosure about it. i myself have posted some tracks being rock worthy and had to post in dance and rock, i ask myself "dance and rock ?","as in trance with guitars?" and went one posting in dance and rock with lack of anything other .
so botomline, perhaps there are people with the need to post in this so called "dance and rock" but imo electrobel would not be damaged with the advent of a new "rock" genre, it may even be that it will benifit ebel over time (and i do stress time here). Electrobel(whats in a name^^) doesn't really imply traditional "acoustic" kinds of music. but rock in my opinion would be a step forwards in the history of ebel. cheers
dance and rock is my recycle bin when i don't do electro (which becomes a dangerous habit now), so i don't really care. Plus, there aren't many listeners in this category*. but it's maybe a good idea to split "rock" (as in rock-n-roll) and "dance" (as in 90s dance à la Scatman).
- Speaking about this, when will the songs have a hit counter again? I used this for a barometer of the quality of my songs. I miss it!
maybe rock, with sub genre new wave / electro rock metal/gothic
for the gary numanesque songs like some falcon303/macanoid songs. For the electro rock like taxidermists Elfenkommando posted a metal/gothic inspired track, Rabauw makes songs like this too
yes would be nice to get some sub rock sections like new wave + electro rock !rock as main groupe and sub groups i totally agree with what mrMute wrote here !
if folk would fall under rock don't forget to add 'acoustic' - it would break an initial boundaries of ELECTRObel but some of you playing guitar or piano while singing could still upload their tracks then.

I'd say:
"Rock" subgenre "electrorock"
"rock" in general for the occasional garage songs that are posted here (I'm thinking Kinky Overall Tramps), and "electrorock" which would basically fit most of the songs that are in D&R now (cybermetal, industrial rock, gothic,....)
great idea, what the fuck is dance and rock anyway. rock with indeed a kind of subgenre like elektrorock/punk would be cool. think goose, that's not really elektro, not really rock, but definitely a very cool genre. I myself have thought about posting songs in dance and rock, but didn't do it because of the rather stupid name.
