As some of you might know, studio brussels is having this special event called music for life, where they do all sorts of weird shit to get some money and attention to landmines. Well, we as electrobel, could use this thing for some promotion. We offer studio brussel to auction a song: ie, some of us put themselves up to write the song that guy wants. So the winner of the auction could have us make a song for his gf or whatever.
We most likely will get some airtime in which we can explain what ebel does etc etc. So, if stubru excepts, this would be some very cool promotion for us.
Offcourse we need some artists who'd be willing to make this song. So if you wanna help out, of have some extra idea's, please post

I'd auction a custom made song.
Getting together a sampler which we're going to sell in a few days might be tricky (though it's a good idea)
why not let the winner choose style (genre) and topic for the song first, throw that info on the forum and let all interested people make a track. This way the winner can choose the one he likes the most :D . i'm always in for giving it a try ;)
I just need to make sure there are some artists who would like to do it. There's no point in having someone pay for nothing.

Well, I think this is all a bit too last minute... Because the person who actually gives money for a song will expect a decent song comparable to like a radio electronic song. This will take you or anyone here more than just a few hours or days, especially when it has to be around a subject.
If the underlying agenda for us would be to advertise electrobel, it wouldn't be a good idea to come up with some vlug-vlug song.
Don't misunderstand me here: I think your idea is very good (to brilliant actually) but it should have been thought about earlier.
Ugh yeah, isn't this event NOW? That's a bit short. Besides, unless you know someone on the inside, don't be so quick to assume they'll be ready to jump on it and give you airtime.

Yeah, it's now. And I'm sorry I didn't think of it earlier. Otherwise we could've made some sort of special sampler specifically for this. That would've been a hell lot easier.
And I've been trying to get through to them a whole day, and it's a bloody pain in the arse. The best I've got for the moment is a paper saying I'm allowed to deposit our money at their glass house.
But someone CAN call to StuBru, do a request of a vaguely electro-related track, donate 100 euro and tell the threesome in the Glass House that it is sponsored by eBel ;D

Ah yes, the awesome 'give us money before we play your song' strategy.
Do keep in mind that they lost a great deal of their audience over the years, too. So it's not really worth it to 'drop your trousers', so to speak, for them.
But congratulations on getting a paper to be able to go and drop your well-earned cash at some 'mediageile' people putting themselves in a glass house; I'm sure the landmines will be intrigued by the concept.
Frankly I saw this stunt in newspapers and magazines at work and all I could think of was 'bloody hell, this won't do one bit of good to the problem at hand, but those guys will sure get a lot of media attention'. Well, they seem to be getting it alright.
