How about a page where we can all share cool samples, patches (e.g. for Reason or Reaktor or Buzz or ...).
I was inspired by the 'how to make an acid line'-thread.
I'd be happy to share my sounds with others, and I'm curious about what patches and samples others use ...
so how about it ?

okay .. sounds good. you got a precise idea of what you want ? or you wanna meet life/irc and talk about it ?
In the same style of thought, maybe we could also share unfinished and abandonned files, i have many on my hdd that don't fit my style, but they are interresting too, and i already noticed that some artists don't finish files they don't like, although i really enjoy it... :)

that might be harder, we don't all use reason ... so i think maybe it's better if that's done on a user-2-user basis .... which is intended in the e-bel design ... i liked ur PereCastor song, u sent me the files and i remixed it ...
i think it's best to do it that way ;)
ok the way to do is:
make a page that shows a list of uploaded samples, midi files, patches or unfinished songs.
on that page there is a upload button. when clicked you get a form where you upload (hehe quite obvious he?) the sample/patch/midi/song and you add info. -program -name -(if song) why are you stuck -(if sample) some comment where you sampled it, how you made it -(if midi) why this melody (midi can also be used by hardware folks) -(if patch) whats the sound? what is i used for?
and for each sample there is a possibilty to add comment by other users, tell what they did with it. add links to e.g. the finished song they made etc.
and then ... we share :D

I think the issue about some users not being able to use the material is irrelevant. if an mp3 is not the style everybody likes, is that a reason not to share it? nope (imho)
lets see what ball I kicked into motion now ...
praecox is right ! and we would be able to sort the files by prog, by type, etc... nice ideas !

KULfirewall doesn't allow me to use soulseek (or other filesharing) not that that should bother you ;-) just saying i won't be able to use it. The idea of an irc channel does seem interesseting on the other hand - to change ideas and techniques etc...
IRC is not a good idea (imo) cause not everyone uses it, neither is soulseek cause there still isn't a fully xorking mac osx client for it. maby you don't care, but I can't share ... (thats fockin rhyming ya know...)
just make the page, its best for all and it'll atract more users !

i will :) i just have another project i'm working on almost full time (it's well payed) almost finished with it, it'll allow me to finance some wicked parties for e-bel ;)
