how to make dnb

just a microkorg won't get you very far hé. how are you gonna record, make your beats, etc.?

btw, the MK is a cool little synth. it was my first hardware synth too.

what's the advice you can give me?

i guess you have a computer? then i'd advise you to get Ableton Live as sequencer software and an entry level audio interface (m-audio, edirol, etc...) for recording your microkorg.

do you have any experience with production and/or synths?

i got 2 computers. i've tryed to make some tracks with acid. but the samples are not what i'm looking for. so i gonna buy my synth tomorrow so i can start practice

make your owne samples or take a amen break(in a slycer) for d n b :P :D

my advice would be to start out with software, for example live, reason or FL studio. you'll probably get the hang of it quicker and you can still decide to get into hardware then. practically, if you just get the korg, then you still need something to MIDI-sequence and record it with, be it hardware or software. and it won't fulfill any of your beat/drums needs.

this is verry difficult to lurn about all that equipment. I'm mixing dnb 3 years now, but i want somthing new. There's only one guy i know who knows a little of it, thats all. So can i use my computer to record? An can you tell me something more about that midi-sequence

google is your friend ;) try 'midi faq' or 'midi tutorial'

bottom line is that a synth like a microkorg isn't enough to produce whole tracks on its own. it's just one sound source without sequencer or recording capabilities. a sequencer is the devicewith which you compose your tracks (which can be a computer running a sequencer application or a hardware sequencer like an MPC). when sequencing with computer and software you'll need a midi interface to control your synth. and you'll need something to record the output of your sequencing which can again be done with a computer or with a hardware recorder.

i advise you to start out with software like Live, reason, FL studio or similar because those are sequencer applications that have everything you need to get started: sequencer, synths, fx plugins, samples etc. that makes m really handy for the beginner because it saves you all the hassle that comes with hardware equipment. try those out and after a while you'll figure out if you need hardware or not. that's a very personal choice, but one with big consequences for your way of working. so save yourself the money and frustration for now and get one of those software sequencers. then you can start right away without any trouble.

dtr is right!! start with software, learn the basics and spend money if you are shure you are enjoying it.
