Ok, I'd like a little list of (free) synths for psytrance.
Already in my collection:
Of course I have a lot more of them. But to create real nice psy sounds I don't have that many VST's. I used to make industrial a lot more, and never had the chance to learn to know great psytrance VST's.
A list of VST's would do me a great favor and help me a lot! If there are great presets included, then I'll be extra happy. Presets are handy to 'see' and learn how those sounds are created and work, so I could start making my own.
Thanks to all who replies on this shout for help!
with these you have way more than needed to make all psytrance sounds you've ever heard. try to learn one in depth instead, will be way more useful in the future

+1 Only addition i could make is: Absynth. Its a powerful vst and has really cool atmospheric psy sounds. With that and the vsts already in your collection you should be set for life!
gothrixus,(AND OTHERS)why not expand ur (pretty good list) of vsts with some killer waves by the following psymonsters? -MASSIVE,the name says it all, must have, trust me;)(native) -NEXUS, one of the warmest softhsynths around(refx) -FM8, massive-style monster(native)

- trilogy+atmosphere(both spectraphonics),blue(complete ur rob papen list),crystal(pads) FX- camelphat,camelspace,camelcrusher,glitch,pudding,predatohm(disto),minion,... all tested,approved and staying. grtz
Massive and FM8 are amazing synths... don't know for psymuze but they do the trick for me
But you also need good eq's, knowledge and experience of synthesis because you can make psyleads with any vsti if you want. It all comes down to experience and knowledge at the end. Check http://forum.isratrance.com/viewforum.php/forum/2this is the best forum ever for music production and it happens to be specialised in psytrance. http://forum.isratrance.com/viewforum.php/forum/2
if you are going to use them for arp, then I suggest those you allready have, but every synth van be used for psytrance or anything else aslong as you use them correctly
here is a good site for free vst/vsti/patch and banks

stick to the superwave, learn it inside out (its pretty straight-forward). It rocks for loads of sounds and the built in arpeggiator is very well done for insta trancy-stuff.

Imo the superwave has crappy sound. It just doesn't cut it like nowadays vsti's. Good for some background sublead-supersaws or some basic elektro sounds but for screaming crystal clear meatty leads it comes short.
you have a point there, but superwave isnt a cpu hogger like most recent plugins and still sounds very nice imo. I tried massive & fm8 and uninstalled them cuz they made my pc lag. They may sound nice but its not worth buying a new pc for me.
