strugling to get your latency as low as possible on the onboard soundcard of your laptop (or desktop)
as long as you got the cpu, this little baby can take care of it...
i have an onboard realtek thingy in my amd64 3200+ and i manage to get a latency as low as 2 ms for softsynths (max 8ms for certain apps that convert audio input like guitar rig)
is anyone on ebel tested/tried this software? I've downloaded but I'm afraid to run it cause of possible trojan or elseware ?(
wohohooow!!! awesome piece of soft :D now in ableton, i have only 2ms latency where i used to have 20! AND I FINNALLY CAN USE ALL THE 8 OUTPUTS OF MY 7.1-SOUNCARD!!!! big thanx dude :D
and on top of that: it has no virusses ;)
the only thing i miss is that you can't route audio to reason (even with asio4all) when reason is slave of ableton... only if reason is stand-alone, you can route audio in. i looked in ableton, but no audio-out to reason possible.
It's out for a long time now!!
really great pilots! installed on laptop for more than one year! no probs at all with them! works fine with anything!
Don't hesitate, it's a must!
peace, GriG

off course it has no virusses :-) ... trust me, i wouldn't have posted it if that was the case
i thought reason had no audio in? isn't it so you have to create an audio sample and load it in the nn19 or nnxt sampler to integrate external audio into your reason song?
am i missing something? (it would be cool to use reasons vocoder live in stead of the way described above)
in the setup of asio4all there is a thing u can clic so u can have audio in in reason (thru rebirth). very cool feature if it wasn't that it doesn't seem to work if reason is in rewire-mode

I used ASIO4ALL aswell in the beginning when making music, its is indeed a very good app, never had any trouble with it. Only thing to be careful of is when you install a new soundcard make sure you remove asio4all in safe mode, otherwise you could get trouble with it (i found out the hard way...)
oh, and indeed its totally virus-free & very safe to use.

= normal, guess rewire can only do one thing at the time, so if rebirth is using it to be a part of reason, that's it... same in cubase, opening rebirth and reason at the same time gives me the message that "rewire is already in use"...

but isn't there a way then to have audio in in reason while rewiring? for example in ableton an audio out to reason or so?
nope...
asio4all is a native windows driver
i didn't even know asio existed on mac (don't they have a completely different audio architecture?)
anyways.. as i was browsing ebel's library i noticed asio4all has been posted there a while ago too, so my post actually is a dupe ;-)
still glad to have helped firefrog i guess
