Programming sample-edits

you could try Csound. but this isn't a easy prog to use. but I think you can do what you said.

I'm not a soft-synth freak nor do I know what you mean with 'sample edits' but what your describing is possible with any sampler (soft- or hardware) by tweaking the amplitude envelope.

Anyhow, have a look at the folowing softs:

SynthEdit CSound Kontakt Reaktor

Ro5:I've got a EMU6400 Ultra so I know what samplers can do ;)

what I wrote was just an example.

isniezot: thanks for the tip!!! looks like the thing I was asking for. and yes, it looks pretty dificult but I've used something like this for graphical rendering as well (Persistence Of Vision) so I know what to expect :)

try some trackers.. if u like writting numbers :-) An big precision for playing just a bit of the sample, put stereo etc... FastTracker II Impulse Tracker ModPlug Tracker Sk@le Tracker Buzz Tracker
