A genre suggestion
General discussionHey there I was wondering if it would be possible to improve the sorting of the Trance genre.. I mean, all psytrance is in the same spot as goatrance, and for me it's a huge difference since I hate almost all psytrance :) no offense. Suomi, Nitzhonot, Goatrance, Psytrance, Newschool, Dark, etc. should all be subgenres I think.. but that's just my thought. I've only recently made an account on ebel so don't know who's in charge of the genres and stuff. thank you for your time. Acydian

In every genre you can make subgenres. It's typical for the goascene to think their genre is that important it def. NEEDS to be seperated... Not a good idea, not that big a scene. We have progressive already seperated from the rest.

DNB could also be hackled in darkstep, liquid, jump-up,... result would be that every subgenre has a new song each... dunno month

I'd advise everyone to start their songdiscription with the subgenre "Darkstep..." "progressive Psycoretrancefluoflashsong..." "...."

My suggestion would be: forget genres, start from a tabula rasa and be original ;-)
and if you really want to copy other artists/genres: tell the world in your song description (some people even give negative comments because of a "wrong category"--->stupidity in it's most evil way).

i also don't think there's a need for subgenres in the goa listing, it's all repetitive trancy 4/4 beatmusic with a psychedelic vibe anyway. you like it or you don't but that's a personal thing. you can specify subgenre in yr comment.
the only thing that might be an improvement is changing the term "goa" to "psychedelic trance" cause i feel that is a more generalized name. but it's not important for me.
