since i can't find the vocal samples i want for my next project i guess i have to sample them myself. i've been nosing around on te internet and found info about acid pro and soundforge. are any of these good for sampling pieces from soundclips (spoken word/music)?

what's your opinion about these, and is there any other software products for sampling besides these 2 (i'm pretty sure there are more then 2)?

sure... there is the free Audacity! to cut parts from musicsamples but if you start sampling copyrighted vocals - don't mind posting songs with those vocals here on electrobel since we're not going to accept those anymore. So, be careful and good luck

really? what an odd decision, don't you think? what about all them breakcore fans enjoying a guud ol' mash-up every now and then?

and would that rule go for, let's say filmquotes to? or is it restricted to song-lyrics?

anyway, not that i make that often use of such material though ^^

yep u're right. We could just eraze the jungle section, the wole style is based on copyrighted samples. and i like mashups 0: But honestly it's far more simple to make some "terms of agrement" when a user register himself, where he has to accept some kind of licence that says he is responsable for the song he posts. A contract is a contract & that way its the user's responsability if problems occur (if, cause I realy doubt that would ever happen)

it's not as simple as that.... contract or not - the one who hosts the song on his server (Zark) is the only one responsable! By the way - when uploading a song one agrees not upmoading copyrighted stuff... do you really think someone really cares about that?

if i use more then the allowed 3sec i'll make sure to chop 'em up real good. so they'll be dancing on the narrow string that devides legal from illigal sampling ^^ and it may be toeval, but I was thinking about something jungly/mash-upy/corey :)
