I recently acquired a bunch of vsti plugins for FL Studio 6. I followed the precise instructions i was given as to how to install these in FL, but for some reason the dont seem to get installed. I tried putting them all in a dir in the Plugin folder of FL, but that doesnt work. I keep refreshing my browser and yet they will not get recognized. Some of these plugins are: brass box, crystal, stringz, phaser, trancenitter, etc. What am i to do??
After u put them in the vst folder, open fruityloops, right click on a sample in your step sequencer, then choose 'insert' and then 'more..' . You will get a list of plugins. Then below the box, push 'refresh', and your plugins will appear in the box. Then make sure an F is in the square in front of your plugin. Close the box, then right click again on a sample in the step sequencer, choose insert, and your plugin should be in the list of plugins now.
this should do the trick normally :) .
Greets.
Hey introder, I followed yuor instructions, and indeed they worked! Thanx! But im facing another problem now. Some of the plugins are generator plugins. When i try to open them this is the message i get: Sorry but this plugin couldnt be found or opened. If this plugin has to be registered, please check that you registered it correctly. What do i do in this case?
Hmmmm, I think I got that problem too once. Couldn't find a solution back then, so I deleted the plugin. Maybe someone else knows it?
Yeah bro, it sure seems like a dead end! Well thanx for your help anyways, i wouldnt have even got this far if it wasnt for u! Lets just hope someone else who knows a thing or two more than us casts his eye over this thread, and hopefully helps out! :)
I had the same problem a few times and I guess it could be a compatibility problem between fruity and the vst... I still cant get my Proteus X to work even if it is registered and installed correctly, for example. edit: solved now What you could do, if you didnt already: try to uninstall the ones that don't work (at least if they were installed and not just a .dll file) , reboot and reinstall in the VstPlugin directory. Maybe that will do it. It helped me out a few times, but it might as well not ?( If you have other software than fruity that work with vst instruments might try those out to see if the problem is the vst or compatibility...
Just also watch out that you don't mix generator and filter plug-ins... generator plugins work from the channel menu and filter plugs from the mastering console filter-bank...
I can't get my Proteus to work in FL either. Works in Cubase though. Weird. P
I had issues with Proteus too, bu don't really remember how I solved it... now it works Did you perhaps install Sonars vst to dx adaptor or something like that? I think that was a problem with mine...
