Help neededHello electro people, I have a question to those hardware experts out there, We need to buy a synthesizer coscos we're craving to have one... but I dont know which one I should buy, it is the first time i buy a syntesizer, i've got an mkp49 + BCF2k: first don't believe that much in Waldorfs Blofeld (looks crap toy plastik shizzel.) I cannot spend more than 799 ;? euros, I found the Dave(edit: excuse me for putting "steve" here) Smith fully analog( +2digital osc ) "Evolver" synth very interesting, same for the Korg microkorg.(keyboard -) But i'm not shure if there's any better issue in that price cathegory, please if you know some good synthesizer for deep bass techno melod/basslines with wicked minimal soundz kind of bell sounds and vocoded bongoz... let me know! thanks a lot, xavier

the evolver is good.
there is also in fully analog the MFB Kraftzwerk, but I didnt' test it yet.
first of all, it's dave smith, and it's not fully analog ... it has two traditional analog oscillators and two digital wavetable oscillators, but is (imho.) not a very good buy for a first synth as it is not so easy to get comfortable with.
for seconds, i totally disagree with your point of view on the waldorf blofeld synth. the blofeld is a digital ‘wavetable’ synth. it's most interesting feature to me is its ability to sweep through 64 waveforms (or wavetables) which are preprogrammed in the factory memory, and which can be re-melted together in the order that you like. the blofeld has a much broader palette and more dynamic timbral sound than the one offered by typical analogue synthesizers, which actually only relie on the filter for animation.
if i where to buy my first synth ever, i'dd deffinately go for the blofeld mate, i really would ...
for 800 euro, try to find a second-hand Acces Virus! it's a really awesome synth, with lots of possibilities without being difficult to program (i srarely have to take the manual to find out how to do something). very straightforward, lots of knobs, very good sound,... and just like the waldorf, it has around 60 waveforms (next to the traditional saw, sine, pulse,...).on top of that, Acces continues to offer full support for old models, so u'll still find new firmware-upgrades, patches, etc...
I have a virus kb for sale for 700€. For an ebelian I'll make it 650 (and I have two offers pending at the moment, probably for 700 so decide quick ;))
Yes I was looking for the Kraftzwerg too, but i think it needs some serious experience to handle its parameters.(it has got patch wire inputs too) Have you ever tested the blofeld ? I doubt it to be boring after some time because you dont have a whole bunch of knobs to turn on.(fast access to loads of parameters) But i think there is a software with it so i could link my mpk49 to it (?). Yepa the access virus is kinda dreamtoy 4me, but i can't imagine somebody who wants to** sell** that killer-sound-synth...except that he had an orgasm of the sound, an tweaked some Poti's to hell because of his excitement.

But i wasn't looking for wobbly knobs, at least i would like to have it in almost perfect technical state. ( i wouldn't matter if he'd painted on it ) Indeed Bandar's Kb version is also very hot, but there are several modification features missing on that synth that i'd like to have such as a logic filter processing & a minus is that all knobs are on the left side of the keyboard. The Kb is working on a 1998 Dsp module. Modern syth&fx are much more powerful because of the microproccessing technologies that occured. The Kb might be a bit old, i mean that lots of songs have already been made with it. It's -used-(of course it aint bad or so, dont get that wrong) The Korg .Radius is hot as hell...
