dynaudio bm6a vs genelec 8040a
Help neededi'm thinking of upgrading to either dynaudio bm6a's or genelec 8040a's so i was wondering what people here think of those. i'm especially wondering how they compare in: accuracy of the low-mid and bass frequencies making a bad mix sound good/ thruthfulness also, but less important harshness (high freq)/ how fast your ears get tired when using them

I don't think a lot ofpeople here have both and hence can make a good and specific comparison. I know both are good but the dynaudio's are used by a lot of really good psytrance producers whose sound is very accurate. i'd go for the dynaudios if I had the money.
actually the genelecs score high on every aspect. we use them at work (in television). and i think they are widely used in the music industry too.
i've read some reviews of people sayin dynaudio's are more flattering and genelec more realistic. i'd like to compare them myself but i can't find a store nearby which has them both in the showroom.

i haven't heard them both standing next to eachother, but at work we only use dynaudio for the closerange speakers (soundstudio for films). i asked a colleague about genelec, and he said it's better to go for dynaudio. i didn't had the chance to ask why though. i can only say that high presision is needed in filmsound, so maybe that tells something about the dynaudios.
i was considering to buy either genelec 8040 or mackie hr 824 i heared the genelecs are good but some people told me they are quite 'vermoeiend' after a while because of the high freqs.i bought the mackies (which are great) anyway in your case, i'd go for those dynaudio monitors.they are used by lots of professional artists so i noticed...
thanks for the interesting advice. btw anyone here know about adam's? some people say there pretty good and they're a lot cheaper
