Asio4all and Vista

i'll say you the same what other people tell me: for now, work with XP if it is for music-stuff (make a second partition with XP). vista still isn't ready for the big work. better wait for service pack 2

I got the same problem with my asio audio drivers from m audio. Somtimes it just stops working, no sound anymore, and reboost is only option. Actualy, vista does realy suck, I hate it I nearly smashed my pc so listen to firefrog, and stay away from it.

yeah...sooo...I wanna know wich asio4all configuration is the best in matters of low cpu usage. I mean wich is the best combination of the sliders positions in asio4all.Im running FL7 on Macbook Pro with WinXP (yes windows on Mac you fuckerzz!)and Im trying to get the most out of it.Tried alot of combinations now,but I allways tend to change them again and again in the hope to make my cpu usage as low as possible.Gettin kinda tired of googling it after few months.anyone got experience with FL7 on Mac?

it's been long time that i've used asio 4 all but i seriously advise u to make your music on OSX, since it doesn't have Asio, DX or WAVE. it only has core-audio (even the internal soundcard!), which is the mac-equivalent of Asio. it has very small latency with the internal soundcard (and any other soundcard) using just the standard coreaudio-driver it really isn't hard to find FL7 for mac, just google for a torrent. another advantage: if you have a mighty mouse (or your mousepad), you'll be working much faster because you can scroll from the left to the right. so no more dragging the bar when you work in a sequencer timeline.

FL7 for mac ???? last time i checked (which is, admittedly, years ago) the developers claimed there would never be a mac version. did the switch to intel change that?

FL does not run on mac, only if you dual boot windows (with bootcamp), or run windows in parallels.

Sorry Mr Nice for not answering your question and for using your post space ;) ok so heres another question; wich laptop would be the most powerfull using FL Studio (7).

I know Ill get laughed at,thats why it took me so long to come forward with this.But for me its a verry serious mather.Yes I bought a Macbook Pro and a cant get what I want out of it. -> I got internet since april I think,I searched my answer for 2-2/5 months. Checked all sorts of forums about FL and laptops and shit...While reading some peoples reactions on using FL on Bootcamp(mac) I really started to hesitate...and Im talking 2 to 3 weeks hesitation.I also do alot of grafick work but my PC is good enough for that actually. My main purchase for a laptop then,was FL indeed. So I finally made the step,but I know it was a risk,cuz I never got the chance to compare FL on pc-laptop and mac-laptop.They all said "more than enough power!" "runns like a charm!"....But I guess those people didnt make complicated IDM or experimental tracks with there FL. In a way I set my peace with it. The other day I installed FL7 (had FL6) cus there is an option for using the 2 processors(dualcore) but that doesnt do the trick... Please if anyone has experience with this.

And yes I have Leopard installed with latest Bootcamp release And latest asio4all

there is no reason whatsoever that FL would run better on a PC than on a mac with bootcamp. it's really the same hardware and mac OS isn't involved at al. plus a macbook pro is a f#cking fast machine if you compare it to similar pc laptops. but appearently you can afford a macbook pro but not a decent soundcard? that s realy silly coz, i hope you know, asio4all driver is just patchwork to make consumer soundcards work with pro audio apps. why don't you get a simple usb or firewire card with decent asio drivers? i bet that solves a whole lot more than anything else.

Thanks alot for responding dtr,appreciate it! Actually ,just yesterday I googled for some external Sound cards,no shit! Next question; wich ext. sound card should I get cuz I got the money for it (music first!)
