For me Eric Smout's "Osmose" on StuBru was THE gate way to the electronic music scene. Those times i listened to cheap ass "this is trip hop" compilations and st.germain cause i was seeking for an alternative for the horrible teenage-mtv-pop-culture, but i couldnt find it in my nearby surrounding. Untill Osmose! i dont remember exactly how i discovered it, all i now was that it became my world. Every sunday night at 00:00 i connected my sony minidisc to my hifi and recorded a non stop (only by the news) electric library-soundscape of two hours. Perfectly mixed. Those wonderfull days... now is my question to you all: who of you also knew and recorded those sessions? c'ause i missed some and i wanna digitalize the whole collection for our nostalgic memories... THX All

hi,

i know what you're talking about; for me too, it was a revelation! unfortunatly, i only heard half of the last seaon, and i didn't know how to capture those streams at that time; i have a few tapes; and luckily the very last episode on wma; maybe you can help me with some more episodes?

yeah I listened to Osmose as well, never taped it though. If you like to find music in the genre of that show, try this site for mixes.

u'r right, best thing on stubru didn't tape it tho'...

Eric was and is (i believe) also the leading force behind the 5voor12 parties that started off very underground mid 90's at antwerp south b4 it all became so trendy... (i mean the south and the parties, not eric smout)

if possible, put a playlist on ebel maybe???

hi there,

i was also a HUGE fan of OSMOSE , discovered it some 7 years ago, when I was 16.. If ANY1 has some mixtapes of those days, could it be possible to contact me on wimmusmaximus@gmail.com , i'm willing to pay for that music because it was the best radio show i ever heard. I have some of them on tape, but my tapes are almost all killed by OVERPLAY in parks and trips. Take care,

quimb
